Please, don't put a bunch of household gunk on your hair, it's messy and you'll regret having to clean it up. Also, do you really think people walking around with beautiful hair, slather it with eggs and olive oil as often as possible? I doubt it.

Use serum on dry hair or a good leave in mask, GHD do a great one. If you have tried everything, then try washing your hair with some conditioner like Pantene Sleek and Straight or Herbal Essences (they do really nice think conditioners) BEFORE you shampoo then put it on again after. Also try washing your hair at night and leaving the conditioner on overnight and washing it off in the morning.

I straighten and blowdry my hair everyday and it's not dry when I use serum on dry hair and condtioner twice.

i have the same problem, my hair stylist got me Krystas by L'Oreal oil treatment, you apply it on your hair after a shower for max. 20 minutes and then rinse it off with water, your hair is shinier and softer and smoothes out the dry ends at the tips of your hair.

a good deep conditioning treatment like aussie 1 minute miracle is good and using a serum and heat protection spray while using your straighteners is also a good idea

i wouldnt personally use olive oils or mayonnaise but that's because i never have and i wouldn't want to clean it up afterwards lol

My hair is very dry due to constant bleaching. I use a good conditioner, then when hair is still damp comb a very small amount of baby oil through your hair. I also use cider vinegar in the final rinse, you may think that would be drying but it isn't, it gives a fantastic shine and gets rid of shampoo and styling product build up. The disappears before your hair is dry as it evaporates.

There are also some good serums on the market which you apply to dry hair. Some are specially made for use with straightening irons. They protect from further damage.

My trick is:

When am not going out, a sit with conditioner on my hair for a couple of hours or all-night and wash it out the next day, I also use a conditioning spray and a heat protector spray on my hair, this will help to restore your hair's normal pH balance and of course this weather doesn't help.
