Tips for bushy hair?

My hair is really bushy and messy. I usually use this product for it, but it takes a long time and is expensive. How do I make my hair managable cheaply, quickly, and easily?

I have the same problem. What I find that works is the less product you put in it, the more manageable it will be. I know it seems backwards, but I find that when people at salons put all sorts of creams and stuff in it, it just feels like stiff tumbleweed. Light serums work best, and I tend to wash it at night, and sleep on it when it is wet, and in a twist. That way, I am not locked in the bathroom all day drying and styling it. By morning it should be mostly or all dry, depending on how much you let it dry the night before (dry it untied so that it dries faster, then twist it before crawling into bed). Then, by around midmorning, you can release it from the twist or ponytail and it should be pretty well-behaved, seeing that it has been slept on and dried. Be careful, though, if it is still wet, it could start to fluff up again, irreversibly! I suggest tying it back up and waiting a few more hours. Do you have a hair dryer? Not a blowdryer, but the kind they use at the salons, that you sit under. Very convenient! You can watch TV with subtitles while your hair is drying, rather than being a prisoner in the bathroom. It is a very good investment. I tend to reserve visits to the salon for things like going to parties and weddings, because I know that can be expensive. Oh PS=You can also get it thinned at the salon. They go through it with a special scissor. It is so liberating to see all that hair fall to the floor Ahhhh...

1) use a shampoo and conditioner that soften and lessen volume of your hair

2) have a hairtreatment in a salon... ( may cost a little)

3) have a haircut ( I recommend LAYERED) so thet it will look light and thinner...
