i have longish thick hair and it used to curl really well but the past few times ive tried its ended in disaster. ive tried using curling products but its still droped before iv left the house :-(

maybe you need to try a different style.

if you have lots of layers in your hair that wont make curling easy. and dont try to curl your hair when you have just washed it as its more likely to drop out.

too much product will make your styles heavy and also make it drop out.

my hair is the same as urs. first of all u need atrim this always makes it go really curly. after u shampoo ur hair put in a leave in conditioner and then comb through ur hair witha wide tooth comb. apply sum gel and scrunch leave to dry natualry dnt blow dry it for best results. when ur hair is dry spray a little hair spray onit. try it.gus luck

I have the same thing and what you should do is braid your hair in a french braid from the top part of your hair to the bottom when its wet then sleep in it then in the morning take it out and play with it a little don't brush it and it makes your hair curly and wavy at the same time so try it and see how it works also put in a liitle mousse or gel

my hair used to be the same. the best slution is hair spray. try not use too much hair products as this will make your hair go greasy. spray each curl once u have curled it and it should last all day.

Try using a larger barrel of hair curler! I have the same trouble except that mines never gone good with the little barreled ones! and use major amounts of hairspray and moose!!

Have u tried rollers? they are all different sizes to create different curls ie tight or loose etc. or have u tried curling tongs? if u do try them then wash ur hair and put some mouse in before u dry it, then once the hair is dry use the curling tongs to create the curl u want. the mouse helps to keep the curl for longer and if u choose to try rollers u would be best to get some one to do it for u! can i ask what length ur hair is as the weight of the hair may be too much for the curl to stay for a long time.

I find that using straighteners is the only way to curl my hair! I can't use tongues they just don't work. I use hairspray after to keep it in place.
