Tips on repairing broken/damaged hair?

what are some tips on repairing broken/damaged hair, without cutting it?

Tips on repairing broken/damaged hair?

I had severe damaged hair, it was breaking off an inch from my head. I let a girlfriend do my hair instead of my stylist. (huge mistake). Anyway, another girlfriend referred me to www.biolustreflorida.com. I now have NO damage and continue to get my hair colored every 3 weeks. You should check their website out, it really does work!

Well.. the only real answer to that is to cut it.. but if u dont wanna do that, then u have to live with it for a while. everytime u take a shower you should put some really good conditioner (A LOT) in ur hair.. massage throughly (especially at the ends).. then leave it in ur hair for a good 3-5 minutes and rise. OR u should use a deap down conditioner everytime u take a shower and keep it in for a min of 5 minutes. once ur hair is back healthy (which will be a while) only use the deap down conditioner once a week. good luck!

apply hair mask every after showering.

but cutting it would be better because your hair is already damage %26amp; unhealthy. therefore, your hair will actually grow slower in an unhealthy condition. no need to cut lots, about 1inch will do, just get away those damaged ends.

Try to use virgin oil (from coconut).

1st start with a trim - I know you don't want to cut your hair but trimming it will help. Regular trims will help in keeping your hair healthy.

2nd add mayo (yes that's right) 2 -3 times a week. Massage it into your hair then wrap it with either a plastic bag or saran wrap and let it sit for 15 - 30 minutes each time. Then rinse it out.

3rd try washing and conditioning every other day instead of everyday. Washing everyday dries you hair and makes it brittle.

When straightening hair remember to use a heat protectant.

Also use a straightener that has negative ions that help lock int he moisture in your hair.

You could use some special conditioner on your hair - i use one from www.peachiie.com email the owner) and it definitely has strengthen up my hair and it isn't damaged anymore.

Also your diet affects your hair so eat healthy foods and eating almonds i heard is good for you hair. Also plenty of water :)

It is always better to cut ur hair evenly and then go for treatment... coz the results will be promising.... good hair comes only when you take care of scalp, hair and the ends too.

for ur scalp apply coconut oil, either message it in circular motion gently (15 mins) or wrap hot towel (towel immersed in medium hot water and squeezed completly)for 10 mns.

for rinsing hair use a conditioning shampoo which has got coconut milk or almond oil.... or u can use dove shampoo my friends hav got good results...

for hair ends... after rinsing with shampoo take 1 or 2 teaspoons of lemon juice mix it with one mug of water and use this for ur last rinse... this makes ur hair texture even from hair root to tip.

diet... eat lots of protien rich diet like soybeans, sprouts etc. have lots of water, citrus fruits etc... if time permits apply coconut milk weekly once on ur hair and leave it for 15-20 mins and rinse off. it is a good %26amp; rich nourishment to the hair.

sorry for being so elaborate but if u follow this regimen am sure that u ll be the queen of beautiful hair in 3 months

all the best!

Regular trims are a must....sorry. It's amazing what a micro-trim can do for you. Get a good shampoo that has protein, to rebuild. I usually recommend Redken Extreme shampoo and conditioner followed up by Redken Anti-snap before drying. A protein treatment once or twice a week would be ideal. (there are several that go with the Extreme line)
